Terms and Conditions
This agreement (“Agreement”) is between you (the “Client”) and Valerie Gibson Travel, an independent affiliate of Travel Experts and a Virtuoso Member (the “Travel Advisor”). Before we proceed with planning or booking your travel, we ask that you read and acknowledge the following Terms and Conditions.

Travel Documentation
Clients are responsible for securing and verifying all required travel documentation for their destination(s), including but not limited to passports, visas, vaccination records, and other health or entry requirements. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your return date and should have at least two to four blank pages, depending on the destination.
Travel requirements can change frequently. It is your responsibility to consult official resources and ensure compliance:
Please double-check all documents and details sent by Valerie Gibson Travel, including spelling of names, dates, and itinerary information. The names you provide for reservations must exactly match the identification used for travel – no exceptions.

Traveler & Credit Card Information
Clients may submit or update traveler profiles and securely add payment information at any time using our encrypted intake form: Traveler Intake & Payment Portal

We also accept credit card details securely by phone.

Credit Card Authorization
We strongly encourage clients to use a credit card for travel payments to take advantage of consumer protections under the Fair Credit Billing Act. By submitting your credit card information through our secure portal or by phone, you authorize Valerie Gibson Travel or the applicable Supplier to charge your card for travel-related services and confirm that you understand and accept the cancellation policies, change penalties, and terms set by each Supplier.

In the event that charges are disputed, reversed, or otherwise unpaid after services have been rendered, Valerie Gibson Travel reserves the right to pursue repayment and collection, including any legal or attorney fees incurred.
If “Valerie Gibson Travel” or “Travel Experts” appears as the merchant on your credit card statement, you acknowledge that our services consist of facilitating your travel arrangements and paying Suppliers on your behalf. Once those services are rendered, you agree not to dispute the charge. If a Supplier fails to deliver a product or ceases operations, your recourse is directly with the Supplier or through your travel insurance provider, not with Valerie Gibson Travel.

Vaccinations & Health Requirements
Clients are responsible for ensuring they meet any required or recommended vaccination or health entry requirements. Please consult with a healthcare provider and review CDC guidelines for the most accurate and current information:

Travel Safety
Valerie Gibson Travel does not have special knowledge regarding the health, safety, weather, or political conditions of travel destinations. It is the Client’s responsibility to stay informed. We recommend:
-

Suppliers & Third-Party Services
Valerie Gibson Travel acts solely as an agent for the airlines, tour operators, hotels, cruise lines, and other service providers (the “Suppliers”). Each Supplier operates independently and has its own policies, which apply to your travel arrangements. By booking with us, you agree to abide by those terms, whether or not you’ve received or reviewed them.

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or defaults of these Suppliers, including changes to itineraries, pricing, or availability. Any issues that arise must be addressed directly with the Supplier.

Pricing & Currency Fluctuations
All pricing is subject to availability and change until booked and confirmed. Quotes in foreign currencies may fluctuate based on exchange rates and credit card issuer fees. Additional fees, such as fuel surcharges or government taxes, may be imposed after confirmation.

Inclusions & Exclusions
Only the services specifically listed in your itinerary or confirmation are included in the price. Any additional transportation, activities, food, excursions, or amenities not explicitly included are the Client’s responsibility.

Schedule Changes & Overbookings
Flight schedules, cruise itineraries, or accommodations may change due to overbooking or operational needs. Valerie Gibson Travel is not responsible for any such changes or the consequences thereof. Compensation, if applicable, must be sought through the Supplier.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation, interruption, medical coverage, and baggage protection. Valerie Gibson Travel is not a licensed insurance agent and cannot answer questions about policy specifics. If travel insurance is not purchased, the Client accepts full responsibility for any loss or emergency that may occur.

Waiver of Liability
Valerie Gibson Travel shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, delay, inconvenience, or any expense due to circumstances beyond our control. These include, but are not limited to:
-
Natural disasters or weather events
-
Acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest, or government actions
-
Pandemics or public health emergencies
-
Technical failures, supplier insolvency, or overbookings
Clients agree that Valerie Gibson Travel is not responsible for any Supplier’s failure to deliver services or comply with its own policies.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and any legal action must be brought in the courts located in Richmond City, Virginia. By engaging our services, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of these courts.

Acceptance of Terms
By requesting travel services from Valerie Gibson Travel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms may be updated at any time and are available at the client's request.
